Construction of the Sabanera Dorado gated community began in 2000. It received its first resident families in January 2003. Since then and through December of last year 2020 we have delivered approximately 600 residences out of a total of approximately 900 single-family units.

 

Our community features recreational and sports facilities already up and running. These include the beautiful Club House with cinema, salon for private activities, Olympic swimming pool, river pool, Sabanera Health Center, Café de la Pérgola, indoor basketball and volleyball courts, tennis courts, soccer field, running track, plus miles of trails to hike and over 40 Spanish acres (“cuerda”) of natural lakes for kayaking or fishing.

 

Within Sabanera Dorado is the TASIS Dorado school, built and founded by the developer of this community for children to study and learn in a family environment near their home and in a natural setting. TASIS Dorado currently hosts 890 students, most of which are from Dorado. It offers enrollment from pre-pre-kindergarten to 12^th grade and has all the institutional accreditations. In addition, it has been recognized by the Middle States Association as one of the most outstanding schools in the United States.

 

In 2013 Sabanera Dorado commemorated its tenth anniversary and presented its new island, ISLA LAGO. Two new models were presented on this island: Villa del Lago and Casona del Lago. During 2020 we completed the construction and deliveries of this island and we began a new phase, ISLA DE LAS FLORES. Our community continues to grow, and we hope to continue fulfilling the dream of many families who make Sabanera Dorado their new home.
